What is the name of cerification for UML and OOAD? Who provides this test?
The following table gives the information regarding the exam.

Is there any pre-requisite to take this exam?
Yes and no. If you are taking the exam as part of certification track of vendors like IBM, HP, Sun Microsystems etc then you will be taking a pre-requisite test like Sun Certified Java Programmer exam. Otherwise you can just take the test. If you retain the official test score sheet the you receive from the test center then you will be able to prove anyone that you passed the exam. The test score sheet will contain breakdown of your score according to the different section of the exam objectives in percentage as well as the overall score.
Will I get a certificate for passing this exam?
No. You will only get a test score sheet as soon as you finish the test.
How to study for the exam ?
I recommend having a copy of the exam objectives and making sure you know each & every concept you are supposed to know, and learn to apply those concepts to a moderate size case study. This will help you to answer the questions very quickly in the actual exam, since you can map the objectives to what the question is testing.
Is the exam easier than the mock test by IBM?
Yes & no, because the actual exam follows a case study whereas the assessment does not. You feel like a Project Lead or a Project Manager working on a actual project when you take the actual test. Also the actual exam is less ambiguous than the IBM ICE exam.
How is the actual exam?
The exam is not hard but it is not a walk in the park either. There are questions which are very easy, few questions very hard.
How many questions are with diagrams...? and how was it?
60-70% of the questions were with diagrams. 40-45% of the questions are on a case study. It builds on the case study as the test progresses.
Diagrams are huge and be prepared to scroll both ways to view the whole diagram. Good news is that the diagrams in the case study repeat for some of the other questions as well.
How To Estimate Preparation Time?
Step 1: For each of the objectives for the exam, rate your current knowledge level. Keep the rating simple, e.g.,
0=What's that?,
3=Know most of the basics, and
5=Expert.
Step 2: Now, based on all the material you need to cover for each area as described above, and your background (experience + education + learning ability), make your own estimate of the time it will take you to achieve at least a "Know most of the basics" level on every topic. Add up all the time to get the total estimated time, tailored for you.

This is based on the Sun Certified Enterprise Architect Exam preparation for part-1. I think it is equally applicable for IBM 486.

?Do you have any tips for taking the exam
The most important tip for taking this exam is to answer all the questions which is not about the case study. This will warm you up and you will get used to the testing conditions.
Now make a second pass and answer the case study questions, this way you can focus on the case study much more intensely and score well in the exam.
