نسخۀ بعدی Reflector پولی خواهد بود

RedGate اعلام کرده نسخۀ 7 رفلکتور دیگه رایگان نخواهد بود و نسخه ای 35 دلار به فروش خواهد رسید (زمان رو هم مارس 2011 یعنی ماه بعد اعلام کرده)


An open letter to the .NET community

Red Gate has announced that it will charge $35 for version 7 of .NET Reflector upon its release in early March. Version 7 will be sold as a perpetual license, with no time bomb or forced updates.

As many of you know, our original intention was to maintain .NET Reflector as a free tool. But, after two-and-a-half years of providing it without charge, we realized that we could not make the free model work. We know that this will cause pain for some people in the .NET community, and we apologize for the change in policy.

As a commercial company, we need to charge at least a nominal amount to keep .NET Reflector up-to-date and relevant. Without revenue coming in, we cannot dedicate a team of developers to ensure that Reflector remains a valuable part of .NET developers’ toolboxes.

As always, your feedback is important to Red Gate, so please contribute any thoughts on this subject to our .NET Reflector forum.

ظاهرا بازمتن بوده تاحالا.
خب اگر تیم داوطلبی باشه میتونن نسخه های قبلی رو توسعه بدن.

نه، نبوده. رایگان بود. سال 2008 لاتز رودر فروختش به RedGate و قول داده شد که همواره رایگان بمونه. بعدا یه نسخۀ Pro با قابلیت دیباگ اسمبلی های دات نت و Integration در ویژوال استودیو دادن که اون پولی بود ولی نسخۀ رایگان همواره توسعه داده می شد.

اینطوری عملا" باعث میشه هم طرف داراش رو از دست بده و هم انگیزه ایجاد کنه برای کرک کردنش.

در مقالهء ویکیپدیا نوشته بود free software utility که بنده به اشتباه فکر کردم منظورم اینه که نرم افزار آزاده. نگو اون software مال utility هست. میگم چرا Free Software رو با حروف کوچیک نوشته!!
خب بابا پس اگر بازمتن نیست که هیچی. نرم افزار انحصاری حالا نوبره؟ دست آخر هم نمیشه ازشون انتظار داشت که رایگان باقی بمونن. چیزی که انحصاری هست یعنی بالاخره طرفها یه حقی برای انحصار روش قائل هستن و آزادی و اختیارات کامل به دیگران نمیدن، بنابراین حتی اگر مجانی هم باشه ارزش خاصی نداره. چون یجورایی در دست عدهء معدودی هست و نمیشه روش سرمایه گذاری کرد برای کارهای رایگان و بخصوص بازمتن. از نظر علمی ارزش و محتوایی نداره.
البته ببخشیدا. ولی این نظر منه. نرم افزار فقط نرم افزار آزاد و بازمتن. اگر از انحصاری مثل ویندوز هم استفاده میکنیم تاحد زیادی از روی ناچاری هست و اینکه خیلی هاشون جایگزین آزاد قابل رقابت ندارن یا محیط و شرایط بازار کار اجازه نمیده.

ILSpy (http://wiki.sharpdevelop.net/ilspy.ashx) [free] The team behind SharpDevelop (http://sharpdevelop.net/OpenSource/SD/Default.aspx) have been working hard on ILSpy and have already released a major milestone of v1 of their decompiler. It can decompile to C#.




JetBrains ReSharper (http://www.jetbrains.com/resharper/) [commercial + free] Within a day of the announcement, JetBrains put out a teaser (http://blogs.jetbrains.com/dotnet/2011/02/reflections-on-recent-news/) suggesting that a decompiler was in the works. Two weeks later, they announced (http://blogs.jetbrains.com/dotnet/2011/02/resharper-6-bundles-decompiler-free-standalone-tool-to-follow/) that the next version of ReSharper will have an integrated decompiler akin to reflector, along with a free standalone version to be released later in the year.




Cecil Studio (http://code.google.com/p/cecilstudio/) [free] This is a Windows forms UI based on the Mono Cecil (http://www.mono-project.com/Cecil) library. It has already been around for a few years.





MonoReflector (https://github.com/jcdickinson/Monoflector) [free] This is a WPF UI based on the Mono Cecil (http://www.mono-project.com/Cecil) library.





MonoDevelop Assembly Browser (http://monodevelop.com/Download/MonoDevelop_2.0_Released) [free] Released for the first time in version 2.0 of MonoDevelop (currently at v2.4.2).




Keep Decompiling Free (http://www.keepdecompilingfree.com/) This website popped up recently with nothing more than a teaser to get more information when it is available.
